Jazz Dance Conference West is a two enriching days of diverse jazz technique classes led by seasoned professionals. The culmination of these classes will be marked by a compelling panel discussion and a dazzling Jazz Dance Concert featuring renowned Jazz Dance companies. This unique event serves as an exceptional networking platform for all in the Jazz Dance Community, aiming to bridge demographics and eras through the expressive realms of social dance, theatrical performances, and historic and innovative jazz dance.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Theatre and Dance in the College of Arts & Humanities as well as a grant from California State University Educational Alliance

Jose Costas Contempo Ballet is looking for versatile dancers with strong ballet and modern dance technique, and performance experience. Female dancers skilled on pointe work, and male dancers with partnering skills – a plus. All dancers must be able to work in the United States.

The audition will consist of a ballet class and Contempo Ballet Repertoire. Rehearsals will start on Monday, January 6, 2025 and will take place in the Orange County area.

Dancers interested in auditioning must send their resume, a reel with examples of classical and modern/contemporary work of a recent performance, a headshot, and full body photo by November 30 using this google form.
