Kate Stanford was born and raised in Orange County California, primarily in Huntington Beach. She started dancing at the age of four at Orange County Dance Center (OCDC). Her dancing career with OCDC lasted for 14 years as she worked her way up to the top. Throughout her years there, Kate studied tap, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, lyrical, and ballet. She would train on average 3 hours a day. Kate was selected to join the Ballet Repertory Theater Company with OCDC when she was 13. She performed many roles, including: Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and Dewdrop Fairy, Arabian, Spanish, and Snow Queen in the Nutcracker Ballet. After graduating from high school Kate began teaching dance classes at OCDC. She has continued her dance training at Orange Coast College under the tutelage of Jose Costas. She has performed at ACDF and now dances for Contempo Ballet.
